This is my first entry so I guess it can be expected to be the hardest. Today was a pretty good day as far as eating goes. Ordered a salad for lunch and will be having an “atkins” dinner. The one thing I wish I could have… macaroni and cheese! It’s most tempting when I make it for my daughter-can’t deprive a 5 year old just ‘caus mommy is on a diet. Now if only I could get this excercise thing going…

    Hi Pamela, welcome to BuddySlim.

    I do the low carb diet too. If you are really dying for mac and cheese, you might want to look into the Carb Addicts diet. It’s basically Atkins, but once a day, for one meal eaten within one hour you can have carbs.

    You can have whatever carb you want as long as it is balanced out equally with protein and fiber.

    Welcome to buddyslim. There is tons of support. Good job on eating well. And with the exersice take it one baby set at a time. Make it to where you enjoy it and not hate it. Have a great day!

    I know you can do it!!! I had the same problem last night. Did a huge workout at the gym. Did 30 minutes each on each of the bikes, we have two different types, then 30 minutes weight lifting, then cooled down with 30 minutes on the treadmill. Kris even came too, then we had to go grocery shopping, so we went to HEB, and I got all healthy low fat low carb stuff, like i told him, “if I am dieting, surprise so are you!!”. But you know how HEB has those meal deals, well they had buy the pre-cooked chickens and get a bunch of stuff and one of the items was Velveeta shells and cheese, man I wanted to get it so bad, but I was good. Didn’t buy it!!! YEAH!!! I know it is harder for you becuase you are right you can’t deprive Christian, so see you ahve even more willpower!!! It si gonna be that much sweeter!!!!
