Alli blog

Still trying to find info on Alli and came across this blog. I take it this blogger doesn’t or hasn’t ever struggled with a weight issue but I still thought the blog was funny. What do you think? http://gracefulflavor.net/2007/06/23/translation-from-marketing-speak-to-plain-english-of-allis-weight-loss-propaganda/

Made My mini-goal!!!

I made my first mini-goal. So I’m down 30 lbs. Yeah!!! 100 pounds to lose seemed like such a challenge but I’m just telling myself that I need to lose 25 lbs. four times. One down three more to go.

Alli & Atkins???

I swear that Alli is calling my name. I have been looking online to see if Alli would be a help if you’re following a low carb diet but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of info out there. I think I’m being lured in by the glossy commericals and the thought that something could help move this process along faster. But the “treatment effects” may be more common since Atkins is not a low-fat diet by any means. I plan to keep checking in on Sharky’s progress but if you have any info on Alli & the low-carb woe please share.

2 lbs away from mini-goal.

I’m 2 lbs away from my mini-goal and hope to reach it next week. I thought my weight loss would increase since joining the gym but it’s still moving at about the same rate. It’s moving down, however, so no complaints. I’m thought about trying more of a Kimkins version of Atkins but I really wanted to do it this time around in a way that I could realistically contine for the long-term. Kimkins seems kind of extreme and I don’t want to set myself up for failure. So I’ll just keep plugging away here and let the 1 and 2 lb. weight loss weeks add up.

The best motivation

3 people stopped me today to ask what I was doing because I look like I’ve been losing weight. Just the motivation I needed. YEAH!!!

What a weekend!!

I took my daughters to Galveston beach this weekend with my mother-in-law to see a sand castle competition. Some of the castles were really amazing. But.. we had a car accident on the way home.  My mother-in-law fell asleep while driving and hit somebody else. Luckily  everyone is OK and no one was hurt (other than the person we hit who didn’t want to wait around for the police because she said she was fine then showed up today in the hospital). So it’s going to be extra difficult to get to the gym until my car is repaired. Just when I was trying to establish a workable routine. So I may be back to walking aour my living room but I’m commited to getting in my exercise at least 5 days this week no matter what. But hey, we’re OK and it just reaffirms that no is promised tomorrow.
