Alli & Atkins???
I swear that Alli is calling my name. I have been looking online to see if Alli would be a help if you’re following a low carb diet but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of info out there. I think I’m being lured in by the glossy commericals and the thought that something could help move this process along faster. But the “treatment effects” may be more common since Atkins is not a low-fat diet by any means. I plan to keep checking in on Sharky’s progress but if you have any info on Alli & the low-carb woe please share.
Alli is an over-the-counter of Xenical. I’ve taken Xenical. I was already eating a low-fat diet, but the “treatment effects” were still a problem. Within half an hour after a meal, I was in a mad dash for the bathroom. If one wasn’t close by, I had to go home because I would end up with a greasy orange stain in my underwear. No, I didn’t have a bowel movement. That happened with even the smallest amount of gas.
Bowel movements were nasty. I kept a bottle of degreaser next to the toilet to spray the inside of the bowel after a bowel movement. It was that bad.
If you’re going to take Alli (I believe it’s a little weaker than Xenical, but the side effects still occur), be sure to keep an extra change of clothes with you wherever you go. You’ll need them. And if you should stain your clothing, you may as well throw it away as the stains won’t come out in a lot of cases.
I have just started taking Alli. In the information provided with the Starter Kit, it recommends that you take Alli with a low-calorie low-fat diet, like maybe Weight Watchers. It recommends that you do not use it with Atkins or South Beach diets since they have way more fat. I think the treatment effects would be horrendous with the Atkins diet. I have not had too much problem with going to the bathroom, but I make sure I give myself a little time after eating before I go too far from a bathroom. But, as I said, I have only been taking it a short time, two days.
Okay Mary has just made me say NOPE, not for me. Yeha i had considered it to Pam, btu the only thing I have to say to you, as well as why I decided for me it was not what I wanted to do, we are both carb sensitive. So Atkins and South Beach work for us. I think changing from low carb, might not speed things up, it might actually slow them down. I was looking online also, and I decided it wasn’t enought additional weight loss, to risk having all kinds of bowel problems. I mean from what I read on the internet you are only looking at maybe and extra 5 pounds a month!! To have bowel problems, I don’t think so. I will just work extra hard. I have been looking into Miracle Burn. It is supposed to be just as good as Alli, but without the bad bowel side effects, it is jsut mainly Hoodia and somehting to help raise metabolism. i don’t know, you have to do what works for you, but jsut make sure it is worth it!!! love ya!!!!!!
